World Wide Artist's Tag

Nancy Merkle has tagged me! It's a blog game of tag amongst artists. These are the tagging rules:1. List 7 random facts/habits about yourself.2. Choose another 7 bloggers to tag and list their names in your blog. 3. Leave your 7 tagged bloggers comments to notify them of their tagging and to direct them to your blog for tag instructions. Here are the seven random facts about me:

1. I can stay up all night reading a good book.
2. I love to listen to the sound of thunder.
3. I am a very eclectic painter preferring to paint to fit my moods.
4. I get very impatient with laws created for the good of the few to irritate the patience of the many.
5. I love the deserts and mountains of the southwestern United States.
6. One day I hope to travel to Alaska.
7. I’m ashamed to say I get kind of crabby when having a bad day. Makes me want to just howl at the moon.

Here are the artist I’m going to tag. If you’ve been tagged before, then just consider it a compliment because I like your work and additional advertising.
These four are all I can come up with now-most of you have been tagged already. I'll try to add more.

Pen and Ink

"A Picnic" SOLD
3.5" X 2.5"

It's been a while since I've posted due to a personal crisis (Mom's been in hospital), but I hope to get back to a routine soon.

One thing I have found while sitting in a hospital room is how relaxing it is to do these little ACEO cards. They are small and easy to pack up and I have personally gotten hooked on pen and ink. The little squirrel above is my personal favorite so far and even tho he has already sold I still wanted to show him off.

Scratch Art

ACEO 2.5 x 3.5

I love doing these little scratch art ACEOs. Normally I'm not much of a detail person - I usually have to take a Valium just to sew a button back on, but for some reason these little things relax me. My husband likes this.
I've taken the big step and opened an eBay store. Haven't got it completely "stocked" yet since it can be rather time consuming. Actually, my husband Jim is doing all the work so I don't want to get to pushy or he may just up and say 'do it yourself'. Take a look at it and give us some feedback. It will probably be a continuous work in progress, but I hope it will at least pay for itself. I have yet to get some original painting posted, but perhaps this week will see that part done.

ACEO cat in watercolor

"Sophia" 3.5" x 2.5"
A Kansas cold. Or maybe a Texas panhandle cold. Whatever it is, it blew in last Saturday with all the wind and dust storm we had and I've had the sniffles ever since. Thought I would make it thru the winter without so much as an ach-chooo, but alas not so. Stuck in my studio with nothing to do but paint, heh, heh......

Oil Landscape

8" x 10"
Before the Cold
A new painting I just put up on eBay. This is a place my daughter and I ran across a few years ago while I visited her in Michigan. I hope I get to see her again this summer. I miss her a lot.

Iris - Acrylic on board

Iris Acrylic 10" x 8"
$30.00
I put this piece on my new Etsy store a few days ago. Take a look and see what you think. It's still kind of a work in progress, but I like the ease of setting up a "shop". Everything there is all hand made and they keep a pretty close eye out to make sure that is the case. None of this made by the thousands imported stuff like some other places we all know about.
Took my Mom's teeth to the dentist the other day....well her partial. It needed a little repair. I had to wait. I hate to wait. When I wait I look thru magazines at recipes. I normally am a pretty polite person and leave the magazines intact. However, at some point I have to weigh how long I've been there against how good the recipe is....you've all done this...no need to act so innocent.
Yay! New pomegranite recipes for next year!
